Scott
was born and raised on Long Island, New York After
graduating from Farmingdale High School with honors,
Scott attended Binghamton University, Harpur College of
Arts and Sciences, located in upstate New York. There,
he majored in History and Political Science and minored
in German He received his Bachelor’s Degree and
graduated cum laude.
After college, Scott attended Hofstra University School
of Law in Hempstead, New York. While attending law
school, he was the Notes and Comments Editor of the
Hofstra Law & Policy Symposium Journal and a member of
the Phi Alpha Delta fraternity. Furthermore, he was a
Legal Intern at the Hofstra University Criminal Justice
Clinic, providing direct pro bono legal representation
to indigent criminal defendants in Nassau and Queens
Counties.
Following graduation from law school in 1998, Scott was
admitted to practice law in the States of New York and
New Jersey and the United States District Court, Eastern
District of New York. Scott has worked at various law
firms prior to joining The Bach Law Firm, LLC, and has
taken more than 100 cases to trial.
Scott started his legal career working in a medical
malpractice firm in Mineola, New York. Thereafter, he
worked at Serpe, Andree & Kaufman, located in
Huntington, New York, for several years where he
practiced Civil Litigation, Insurance Law, Negligence,
Property Damage subrogation and defense. There, he was a
Senior Associate and Lead Trial Counsel. When he left
Serpe’s office in 2003, he joined Baker & Barshay in
Hauppauge, New York, what would later become Baker,
Sanders, one of Long Island, New York’s most renowned
law firms, specializing in Insurance Law and Civil
Litigation. Scott became Partner in 2004.
Scott also served as a Small Claims Arbitrator in the
Civil Courts of the City of New York, a co-chair of the
No-Fault Committee at the Brooklyn Bar Association, as
well as a Committee member of the Torts and Civil Court
Committees, and an editor of the Bar’s official
publication, the Brooklyn Barrister. Scott recently
moved to Nevada from Long Island, New York and joined
The Bach Law Firm, LLC in October, 2007.
